Running Arch Linux with the Gentoo Kernel

So here’s a fun fact that I just learned: Arch Linux runs just fine using the Gentoo Kernel. Even beyond that, Arch Linux just doesn’t care what kernel you use. LFS kernel? Yep. OpenSUSE kernel? Indeed. Ubuntu kernel from 3 years ago? Sure. The only problem I’ve found is that since I built the gentoo kernel with OpenRC in mind, I left out all the systemd stuff, causing all systemd services to break.

Is this common knowledge? Maybe. I just found it to be neat.
